Corpus Christi Recovery

Yesterday, the Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ, was a very happy day for us.  Our eldest Sister who had been in and out of the hospital for the last month was at last among us to celebrate her nameday.  Although none of the rest of us were hospitalized, during that time, about half suffered from a "bug" while the other half took care of and filled in for those confined to their beds.  We are not yet at 100% full speed, but life is definitely looking brighter even as the days lengthen and the temperature rises outdoors.  Our gardens are in full swing, both vegetable and flower.  Most of the bouquets for our Corpus Christi altars were made with homegrown blooms.  During our extended Lent, we offered our afflictions for the poor people in Ukraine as well as those close to home who suffer from the economic conditions in our country.  We look forward now to the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart and pray our Merciful Savior will bless everyone with His loving kindness.
