Jesus, Eternal High Priest

 We have entered upon the holiest of weeks when we commemorate in liturgy and personal prayer, the ultimate self offering of Jesus to the Father on our behalf.  He is the true High Priest who enters the Sanctuary of Heaven bearing His own blood shed in expiation of our sins.  He is Priest, Victim, Altar and Temple.  We join ourselves to Him in order to be offered with Him.  We join our prayer to His, remembering the sufferings of His Mystical Body, all the poor, abused, tortured, persecuted, sick and dying, sorrowful and despairing ones of this world.  May His Cross be our Hope of Salvation!  And may we all look forward to the joy of His Resurrection!
