Palm Sunday 2024

 

We have entered upon the road to Calvary, beginning our observance of Holy Week.  On this Palm Sunday we would like to share our Mass petitions:

That Christ Jesus, who did not grasp at equality with God, but emptied Himself unto death, may be the inspiration and model for every bishop, cardinal and priest, so that their lives may give glory to God and be for the salvation of souls.

That the Father of Mercies may convert the hearts of world leaders who offer human sacrifice to the god of this age by promoting war, abortion, human trafficking and genocide for the sake of thier own personal gain.

That Jesus may unite to Himself all the victims of crime, violence, abuse and persecution, so that as they share in His Cross, they may also share in His triumph over sin and death.

That as we cry out in this liturgy both "Hosanna" and "Crucify", we may face our sin and our responsibility for evil, then confidently entrust ourselves to the mercy of our Savior and so become channels of mercy for all sinners in the world.
