2nd Sunday of Advent 2012

Happy 2^nd Sunday of Advent!  It does not look like the coming week here at Bethlehem Monastery is going to be at all dull.  Monday is Washday, Tuesday is Bulk Mail Day and Wednesday is the Patronal Feast of our monastery, the Solemnity of Our Lady of Guadalupe.  On Wednesday we will also welcome into our community Erin, one of our aspirants.  For me, the rest of the week (and those following!) will be taken up with caring for this new Poor Clare infant.  I hope to get her out of her swaddling bands by the time Mary arrives on December 30^th.  Perhaps you could say that Erin and Mary are “Irish twins”?  Elizabeth is coming for a first time visit next week.  Then of course, as Christmas approaches and dawns upon us, monastic life always becomes increasingly intense, so you may not hear from me for while, or for any great length, though I hope to keep minimally in touch.  Pray for me and all who are in my care or who might be in my care in the near future!
