Springtime Courting

After getting a slow start, Spring suddenly went into fast forward! Here is a spring poem to share:

Springtime Courting

Indomitable the daffodil,
Snow-capped, yet remaining still,
Until submitting without dismay,
Soon bends its head to the warming day.

Starring the grassy firmament,
Forget-me-not is splendor spent,
Then taken back by a vagrant Spring,
Too quick for long remembering.

Ephemeral the flower is
Yet powerful, for it be His
Spark from the heart of divinity,
A wink from God’s eternity-
His wooing of humanity.
